Will Ronis Photography Exhibition and Tour

Jean-Paul Lefret not only works as photographer, but he shares his knowledge and expertise as a leader of Paris “Secret†Photo Tours.  The tour opens the more authentic side of Paris up to visitors and provides them with a unique souvenir (their pictures) to take home.

All levels of experience and cameras are welcome on the tour…and a chance to have fun.

Right now, Jean-Paul offers a special “Willy Ronis Tour†that commemorates this talented photographer, born in 1910.  Jean-Paul will take you on site where Ronis lived and died: from the Rue Sorbier to the Parc de Belleville, from the Buttes-Chaumont to the Cours de Vincennes. At each site Jean-Paul will help you to recreate several gorgeous black and white snapshots with your own camera.

During the ‘mini’ tour, Ronis’ grandson, Stefan, joined us to share some unique insights about his talented grandfather. For example, Stefan took us to places where some of his most famous photos were taken and provided the story behind his works. One photo of Ronis shows a couple kissing on top of the famous tower in Place Vendome; Stefan shared with us that 30 years later Ronis found this couple again to retake the same photo at the same spot.
