Les Arts Décoratifs — Playmobil Exhibition

If your little ones moan or, worse, rebel against the thought of going to a museum, change their minds by taking them to Les Arts Décoratifs (at Le Louvre), which is showcasing a Playmobil exhibition (which only lasts through May 16th). As it is situated at Le Louvre, you can compromise in negotiating a museum trip by taking the little ones to see Playmobil figurines and, before or after, you can sneak a quick tour in one of the Louvre’s wings, such as Richelieu, where you can see the Napoleon Apartments.

The exhibition retraces the history of the famous Playmobil Figure, which in the past few decades, has become one of the world’s most popular toys. Since its creation, the Playmobil figure has evolved, adapting to contemporary life while, at the same time, respecting the roles in which children imagine themselves. The toy gallery in the Musée des Arts Décoratifs has brought these worlds together. Pirates rub shoulders with vikings, wild animals mingle with pets, and hundreds of other characters recreate the world of the circus and life at home in decors created by Playmobil.

The museum also sponsors ateliers (workshops) for children, including a discovery play session in a Playmobil château for little princes and princesses. See the dates and times below:
