Saut Hermès Equestrian Show at Grand Palais

Pierre Hermès is best known for high-end silk scarves, leather shoes, bags, gloves and accessories, when it was founded, in 1837, it primarily made leather saddles for the elite royalty in Europe. Even to this day you can buy richly made and beautifully handcrafted leather saddles at the Hermès flagship store on the tony Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.

So it is appropriate that Hermès sponsors the Saut Hermes Equestrian Show, held at La Grand Palais during Easter weekend. Tickets may be purchased through FNAC, but expect to pay a hefty sum (90 Euros or more) for the benefit of seeing this special event. Events are held April 2, 3 and 4, with jumping expeditions and other shows, open to the general public, from 2 p.m. onwards (10 a.m. on Easter Sunday).
