Debauve & Gallais (2eme)

Since 1800 Debauve & Gallais has made fine chocolates in Paris, and walking into any Debauve & Gallais stores takes you back into time.  The stores are real gems, with chocolates, coffee, teas and de fruit (little fruit candies that burst with fruit flavor) in perfectly neat rows.  This is the highest-end chocolate in Paris.  Debauve and Gallais once produced chocolate for the kings of France and the tradition has carried on. Debauve & Gallais hasn’t lost its flair or luster in maintaining a chocolaterie that serves as a royal court we can all access.

You can choose your own chocolates or opt for one of the pre-packed boxed assortments. Wrap up one as a gift for a friend back home or when going to a dinner party, as is the custom.

There is no minimum purchase required, so if you are with your kids and just want to buy a little treat, go in and buy 6-10 pieces, which they will put in a nice little bag for you to carry (or immediately gobble up as there is no point in waiting until you come home).

Debauve & Gallais remains one of the finest chocolateries in Paris, and it would be a shame not to visit one of the stores, including the landmark store off of Saint Germain des Près, which is registered as a national historic landmark.
